Meet our Trustee: Terrell Siegfried
PartnerTulsa trustee and chair of the economic incentives and strategy committee, Terrell Siegfried, is enthusiastic about what the future holds for Tulsa. As the assistant general counsel and corporate secretary for The NORDAM Group LLC, one of the largest independently owned aerospace companies in the world, Siegfried manages the company’s legal activities and corporate governance and works closely with executive leadership to ensure policies, practices and guidelines comply with state, federal and international laws and regulations. We caught up with Terrell to learn more about his vision for Tulsa, his passion for giving back, and his affinity for high-adrenaline adventures.
Q: Why do you serve on the PartnerTulsa board?
The city of Tulsa and its citizens have been good to me and my company, NORDAM. Serving as a PartnerTulsa trustee allows me to give something back by creating more opportunity for the city to enrich the lives of the wonderful, talented people who reside here.
Q: What current project are you most excited about?
I am excited about all of the projects because each of them will help multiple areas and neighborhoods in Tulsa. For example, the redevelopment of the historic Morton Hospital in north Tulsa, and the redevelopment of Kirkpatrick Heights in the Greenwood District.
If I had to choose just one, I’d go with the development of the Fair Oaks Industrial District, as it is really unprecedented for the community and could be a game changer for Tulsa. It has the potential to bring in many new employers and well-paying jobs for Tulsans and folks in the surrounding areas – and given its location and proximity to major highways, even for residents of northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri. That is exciting!
Q: What is your vision for Tulsa?
My vision for Tulsa is for it to be a safe, vibrant and family-oriented city, with many choices for well-paying employment, that enables its citizens to live balanced and successful lives.
Q: Please share a fun fact about yourself.
I like high-adrenaline adventure. In college, I played free safety for the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team for four years; I have sky dived, cavern dived, am a regular scuba diver, and have climbed to the summits of the Grand Teton and Nez Perce mountains in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
