Creating and Cultivating Living Wages
When Opportunity is There, Economies are Fair
Through the city’s 19 Opportunity Zones and programs like the Economic Development Infrastructure Fund, PartnerTulsa is committed to working with companies that offer livable wages equal to or greater than the county average. With the Peoria Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, one-in-seven Tulsans have reliable access to 20% of jobs within a 10-minute walk of a bus station. Funding is also available to new and expanding businesses to develop or redevelop additional commercial properties along BRT routes. Additionally, workforce training programs like Retrain Tulsa are creating a means for all Tulsans to acquire and maintain employment in good paying jobs.
