PartnerTulsa Supports Housing Stability with Rental Assistance Grants Through the Affordable Housing Trust Fund

A hand holds out a set of keys on a ring.

PartnerTulsa recently announced $405,000 in three new rental assistance grants through the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF), reinforcing its commitment to ensuring residents have access to safe, stable and affordable housing. These one-time investments support nonprofit partners working on the front lines of housing stability, while advancing the City of Tulsa’s broader Affordable Housing Strategy.

“These grants are designed to prevent evictions, thus helping to reduce the upstream causes of homelessness and ensure Tulsans have the support they need to stay in their homes and maintain stability for themselves and their families ,” said Ronita Wade, Interim Chief Executive Officer for PartnerTulsa.

Recipients include:

Restore Hope Ministries – $275,000 will provide emergency rental assistance and personalized case management to help families recover from financial crises, assisting at least 92 households. Restore Hope has served as Tulsa County’s primary rental assistance provider for more than 30 years

Urban Strategies, Inc. (USI) – $75,000 will provide targeted assistance to 25 households in the River West and 36th Street North (36N) communities through short-term rental support. Working closely with the Tulsa Housing Authority, USI is helping residents at risk of displacement access  services and improve stability.

Eastside Rise – $55,000 will support at least 18 households through the organization’s first rental assistance initiative in east Tulsa. Applicants participate in a holistic intake conversation, allowing staff to identify other unmet household needs and connect residents to additional community resources.

Each agency has until May 2027 to disburse funding to eligible tenants. All awardees will refer the households they assist to the Tulsa Financial Empowerment Center, connecting families to free financial counseling designed to strengthen long-term financial stability.

The Affordable Housing Trust Fund is a city-wide resource administered by PartnerTulsa for the production and preservation of affordable housing. Through its suite of programs, including affordable housing development loans, homebuyer assistance, landlord incentive grants and rental assistance, the AHTF equips Tulsans with the tools they need to move from homelessness to homeownership.

“PartnerTulsa is committed to helping Tulsans thrive, and the Affordable Housing Trust Fund is one of our most powerful tools for achieving that vision,” said Nia James, Vice President of Real Estate and Asset Management, PartnerTulsa . “By investing in partners who provide these essential services, we are helping strengthen families, revitalize neighborhoods and support Tulsa’s long-term economic resilience.”
